Planet Youth Timsikaming Update Report

January 2024

We are happy to share that Planet Youth Timiskaming (PYT) has successfully surveyed over 500 grade 10 and 11 students across the District of Timiskaming. We are looking forward to receiving our final data reports within the next few weeks! These reports will provide insight into the lives and experiences of Timiskaming’s young people in relation to substance use, mental and physical health, sleep, screen time, parental and peer influences, school experiences, and much more.

Opioid Surveillance Dashboard

Timiskaming Health Unit (THU) publishes opioid surveillance information to help inform members of our community about the current opioid situation in Timiskaming. The purpose of the opioid surveillance dashboard is to provide access to timely and accurate information on acute care system utilization, naloxone distribution and the overall impact of opioid use in our communities.
